Paying for a Marriage Record

You can request a marriage certificate from your state or local agency by writing a letter. Here is how you will have to deal with payment, courtesy of vitalrecordsus.com:
- Call to ask the preferred type of payment
- If the office does not take calls, request a quote of the cost in a letter and wait for them to respond
- Do not send money or a check unless you know the exact amount you need to pay
